North Coast
Four slow days on the Mediterranean between Marsa Matrouh and Sidi Abdel Rahman, with one afternoon of El Alamein history.
The journey
Egyptians keep this coast to themselves, and once you have seen the water at Ageeba you will understand why — it is the clearest, palest turquoise in the country, in shallow bays sheltered by limestone cliffs.
This is a holiday rather than a tour. Three of the four days are yours to spend on the sand, with one afternoon set aside for the war cemeteries and museum at El Alamein.
Day by day
A private transfer from Cairo or Alexandria along the coast road, with a stop for lunch. The evening is free.
Ageeba Beach in the morning and Cleopatra's Bath in the afternoon, with time to swim at both.
The Commonwealth and German war cemeteries and the El Alamein Military Museum, with your guide, then back to the coast.
A last morning on the beach before the transfer back.
