The open-air museum of the Nile Valley
Karnak and Luxor temples, the Valley of the Kings, and Hatshepsut's terraces on the West Bank. Sail south to Aswan for the Philae temple, the High Dam, and a felucca ride at sunset — with the option of a day trip to Abu Simbel.

Dive or snorkel Ras Mohammed and the Straits of Tiran from Sharm El Sheikh, slow down in laid-back Dahab and its Blue Hole, and climb Mount Sinai for sunrise before visiting the 6th-century Saint Catherine's Monastery.
