Sinai & the Red Sea
Laid-back Dahab as a base, with a sunrise climb of Mount Sinai and a visit to Saint Catherine's Monastery.
The journey
Dahab moves at a different speed to the rest of the Red Sea — cushions on the sand, no big resorts, and a reef you can swim to from the shore. It makes a good base for the one thing worth losing sleep over: the night climb up Mount Sinai to be on the summit at first light, followed by breakfast and the 6th-century monastery at the foot of the mountain.
Day by day
Private transfer to Dahab and check-in, with the evening free on the promenade.
The Blue Hole, the Bells and the Canyon by jeep, with lunch at a Bedouin camp on the shore.
A free day in Dahab, an early dinner, then the late-night drive to Saint Catherine to begin the climb around 1am.
Sunrise from the summit, the descent by the Steps of Repentance or the camel path, then Saint Catherine's Monastery before the transfer out.

The night climb is hard and completely worth it. Watching the sun come up over Sinai with tea from a Bedouin stall is something I'll remember for a long time.
